Very interesting read. I wonder if this data will eventually evolve to the point where the yearly predictions will take it into account?

IIRC, there was a thread pre-season, some group I never heard of was making CSU/NOAA style predictions strictly based on sun spot activity.


I've read there probably is a link between sunspots and how much energy the Earth receives from the Sun, so I'd guess there is some link, but I suspect it is complicated.

Thanks Ed - I'll do a quick search to see if I can find the previous thread.

Just thought it was an interesting read. Of course, the question becomes can it be proven, and with how much accuracy can sun spot activity be predicted as well?
