Thank you Storm2k

My wife and I would like to thank everyone on this board who provided real-time information on Hurricane Gustav. It was a big help to us prior to the power going out. There was a great deal of damage here. Six homes in my subdivision were flooded out and the blue tarps are still up on several homes. Damage was a lot worse south of here. I hope that we never experience this kind of situation ever again. I was lucky. I lost 6 shingles and part of my backyard fence blew down. Others in my subdivision lost 40 to 60 shingles. P.S. my shingles are 20 years old! They don't make them like they used to. Again, thanks to everyone!!

You're welcome. I will say that for our entire weather community because it takes everyone here to make S2K what it is. We strive to get the best and latest information and analysis available on the board asap in the hopes that it will be of use to someone and hopefully will help save some lives as well as help possible victims of bad weather make informed decisions.

I can speak from my own experiences with Hurricane Ike and even though I obviously can be prejudiced about this site, I know the information I was getting here till I lost power was by far better than what was on the local tv stations.
