WTVT Weatherman Howard Shapiro showed this on the news at noon. He mentioned the sudden blow up and indicated that if it maintained & moved northwest off the Yucatan the conditions were favorable.
Why this is worth noting is Shapiro doesn't often add any comment to such things, he is known for down playing and not adding any hype to actual storms that are threatening even when his local area of west Florida is in a NHC zone. So for him to mention such a quick short lived area of convection is interesting.
