It doesn't need to have a name to do damage. "The storm with no name" did plenty of damage on Davis Island in Tampa. Bitter cold, nasty winds, storm surge, being trapped and I woke up with a damaged tendon from walking the dog the night before. I lost count of the boats that were damaged and sunk.

Great link. Most of urban Halifax saw Category 1 sustained winds with Category 2 winds on the open shores.

Once it gets into the Gulf. Shear will increase. Won't have to focus on the center. Most of the weather will be shunted east. Probably some rain and wind here for me.
