1998 was one of the deadliest seasons on record besides 1780 and 1900. I think 2010 will have a bunch of long lived major hurricanes and likely will have a late ending, possibly in December.

IMO this is increasingly looking like a strong CV season, just need to wait for the SAL to slacken off over the next month or so.
