FABIAN possibly developing later this morning

#1 Postby WXBUFFJIM » Thu Aug 28, 2003 6:57 am

The depression is located at 14.7 north, 35.1 west or about 695 miles southwest of the cape verde islands.

Maximum sustained winds are 35 mph. Movement is west at 21 mph, pressure is 1008 millibars or 29.77 inches.

TD#10 could become a tropical storm by 11 am. If so it's name would be Fabian. Good to be back here!!!!

It'll likely be stronger before it runs into any unfavorable situation if any. There certainly maybe a few obstacles with this system. But we'll see. More updates at 11 am edt. seeya!!

Jim - it will likely be a TS today, maybe as early as 11 AM. Thanks for the update.
