The hurricane has failed to respond to what appeared to be good westward oriented steering conditions. Ridging conditions both aloft and at the surface located over the Gulf of Mexico are moving towards the east and weak pressure falls will be north of the storm Sunday. The hurricane is expected to start moving in a generally northerly or northeastern direction after 12 hours. The forecast track tonight may turn out to be far to the left. This reduces the threat to Central America. Little change of intensity is forecast.

One of my all time favorites, very easy but also very entertaining:

AFTER CONSIDERABLE AND SOMETIMES ANIMATED IN-HOUSE DISCUSSION OF THE
DEMISE OF ___________...IN THE MIDST OF A LOW-PRESSURE AND SURFACE FRONTAL
SYSTEM OVER THE EASTERN UNITED STATES...THE NATIONAL HURRICANE
CENTER HAS DECIDED TO CALL THE TROPICAL CYCLONE NOW OVER THE GULF
OF MEXICO TROPICAL DEPRESSION__________. WHILE DEBATE WILL SURELY
CONTINUE HERE AND ELSEWHERE...THIS DECISION WAS BASED PRIMARILY ON
THE REASONABLE CONTINUITY OBSERVED IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE SURFACE
AND LOW-LEVEL CIRCULATION.

It was neither Ike or Hattie, but Hattie is closer to the actual storm timewise.

Yeah, too many going on at once. I'm still getting my Internet sorted out in my room so can't do much at present time. Hopefully it'll sort itself out.
