TX is safe this time

#1 Postby KatDaddy » Mon Sep 01, 2003 6:18 pm

Hopefully we are done for TX and tropics. The Houston-Galveston areas have had enough. We were very fortunate with Grace and Claudette. We escaped any major weather in the Houston area. Middle Tx Coast hit hard with Claudette. I cannot say we are done for the season but can say the NW Caribbean is for someone else.

Lets hope for a quiet season and know we are a little more prepared for the big one. This has been a wake up call

I don't think so - I think the magically date for Texas to be safe is September 12th or 15th - then you can proclaim we are safe all you want Katdaddy - until then I'm not letting my guard down here in Galveston/Houston area.

It's been a busy season for the TX people and I don't think it's over yet! With the peak of the season staring down at us for the next few weeks we have to keep our guard up. Let's see what 'The Blob' does over the next 72 hrs. We don't need any more of the wet stuff....that's for sure! galvbay
