Wet weather across SE Asia with that thick convection over the SCS. If only these raindrops would turn into snow instead, Yuletide season wouldn't be this gloomy. lol. 93W invest looks chunky, but TC's forming on its location are rare. But we'll see.

I really want your weather out there. If only that digging cold front would reach us. I hate this rainy, gloomy kind of thing when it's just a few days before Christmas. lol. Bring it on, winter season! :lol: :cold:

Does anyone has the information of how many Tropical Cyclones have formed on December in the WPAC? I ask because it has been active this year in that basin with a TD and a new invest (95W) that may have a chance to develop.

Apparently December is the deadliest month this season, at least for the Philippines.

21 named storms in Wpac in 2011 assuming there are no more - 5 below average. Were it not for Washi it would have been the earliest end to a typhoon season since records began.

27 tropical cyclones developed in 2011 ....very active and deadly ending season...

Actually PK it was only completed today with the upgrade of Washi to a Severe Tropical Storm.
