Below is a breakdown of what storms were active on Sept 3 between 1993 and 2003. (Note: storm numbers in parenthesis had been finalled out by NHC prior to Sept 3) Also listed is the date Tropical Depression Twelve formed between 1993 and 2003. At the end of each list is the 10 year average ('93-'02).

It may not be a 1995 season... but it's close. Luckily the loss of life this year hasn't be very high. Hopefully that trend continues.

Very informative, how many depressions do you think we will have by the end of the season, Im thinking 19-21.

If it wasn't for the SAL which dominiated the Atlantic during the earlier part of the hurricane season this year would surely be giving 1995 a run for its money as far as named storms go.

Probably would not of been that early; has June or July are typically quite in the tropics, [depsite having Ana in April].
