Looking at the GOM

Look at all the moisture out in the GOM... wonder if this hangs around will develop it something next week... Stalled coldfronts always mean you have to keep an wary eye on the GOM - since they don't push that far south and hang right offshore.

I am looking at it right now. No one has even mentioned if this front is going to stall or dissipate. If it stalls, then I believe we will be okay. If it dissipates, then we are leaving ourselves wide open without a shield. Or is it the other way around? :P

Any comments from the experts?

I've been hearing talks of a system getting organized in the Southwestern Gulf (Bay of Campeche) sometime next week and heading for the Upper Texas Coast. Can someone provide us with some information on this scenario? Thanks.

So far, I don't see enough model guidance to support this scenario as of yet... Stay tuned...
