Henri emerging into the Atlantic

Looking at Melbourne radar. It looks like Henri is emerging into the Atlantic. Will Henri strengthen?? or stay a wimp??:):)

I think he'll stay a wimp. Been weak from the beginning, and there are no signs of strengrthening that I can see; so weak is my guess.

With that huge high to the north, it doesn't have to be that strong to cause major beach erosion from the pressure gradient (watch out this winter) from NC to NJ.

Hopefully a wimp!! Winds are gusting to about 18 mph here and it isn't even here yet.

Yes... like Tip pointed out, the pressure gradiant will create trouble along the mid atalntic and southeast coast it appears:):)

31 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH FYI ;)

(that is if the conversion is 1.15 kt = 1 MPH :o )

Starting to rage at Grays Reef too with gusts to 27.2kts. Looks like a classic "long fetch" wind event.

Yep ... as long as Henri continues moving NE quickly, shear is relative and it's in a light sheared environment. If Henri decides to stall as expected, then shear becomes more of a factor.

The new Canadian Model at 12z has Henri trapped by high pressure and Isabel taking a more nothward couse than originally progged.

In a completely off topic discussion but still dealing with Henri..

We actually just got 2 bands of rain here between about 1:30 and 2:30.. There was some wind with them too..

Were those Henri's last blows on my area? or a typical afternoon storm.. There was no lightning or thunder so I think Henri had something to do with it...
