<<URGENT>> Isabel Map HERE
10:15AM update...
Isabel is now on the WREL Model Map Page.
Henri is also on the page.
Fabian links off the Model Map Page (3 maps is very slow on a dial-up, so it is no longer on the page, but is still updating).
BTW, here's a snip from my email WeatherCenter Update at WREL last night:
...I'm quite certain our next Tropical Depression will be on the scorecard by Saturday afternoon. This system will cross 40°W this weekend so we have plenty of time. Where it goes largely depends on the action close to home with Henri and Fabian. We'll deal with this new threat when it becomes "official".
Er...did not think a TS would be "official" when I woke up this morning :?

I may eat my words....but I don't think so....
If I lived along the U.S. coast between Cape Cod and Key West, I'd keep an eagle-eye on Isabel. If it's located north of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic next Friday with that large high pressure area offshore the NE U.S. -- it means trouble with a capitol "T". The GFS likes to recurve hurricanes top quickly...even into high pressure ridges....I just don't see it happening (at least if the high pressure is as large and strong as progged).
South Florida is overdue for another major hurricane...and mid-September is prime time. Isabel IMO is a major threat to be the next great September hurricane for Florida....and possibly areas farther north as well (East Coast).
Just my .02 cents worth...

Thanks for the quick Isabel map
Nice job on short notice...Henri has come and gone and left us with a rather delightful, sunny and breezy afternoon. Lot of rain yesterday but we've seen much worse. Way to early to agonize over where Isabel is bound as the models seem to be all over the place. Your map does the best job of demonstrating the forecast model paths. Keep posting those maps, Scott!

Oh boy! I certainly hope not.. I got a bad feeling when this season started & I told myself that I get a bad feeling every year & not to worry about it. (I am an insurance agent for mostly homeowners so it would be terrible for me besides the actual storm of course.) I guess we will have to wait & see but I do not like seeing all these waves coming out of Africa.. they look like they are marching!
