Chris became a hurricane further north than any other storm before August. Danny 03 had that record, doing so at 39.2 degrees north in July, but Chris broke that at 41.1N. Pending reanalysis.
Sandy set several records for lowest pressure, including in Atlantic City and Philadelphia. It also produced a storm surge record in Sandy Hook.
