Does anyone know where to look for historical tropical wx info for southern California? I know of at least one TS that hit near Long Beach in the late 1930s but I forget the exact year; and I know (or am pretty sure) that there have been several TD's that have come through this area as well. Thanks!

I am pretty sure that the storm which I heard of was between 1935-1940; possibly 1939; but I am not 100% sure. So that Unisys link may not go far back enough.
This gives a pretty good overview of tropical systems or remnants that affected California, including the 1939 storm. The storm was called "El Cordonazo", and killed 45 people, mostly in boats.
