Clouds lying perpendicular in outer rainbands???

#1 Postby Pileus » Mon Sep 08, 2003 8:13 am

Always wanted to know what causes cirrus (if it is cirrus) clouds to lie
perpendicular or east to west in the outer spirals. They dont extend very
far at all but still look peculiar. Anyone???
