Hurricane Betsy devastated the New Orleans area. I was a child but still remember that day vividly. We got out of my uncles subdivision by boat. I will never forget Sept.9th, 1965 as long as I live.
Anyone else have a Hurricane Betsy story to tell?

My mom would, but she is not on the board. She was a child in downtown Houma and is still talking about Besty. Every hurricane to come here since she says "that's nothing but a rain storm. you should have seen Besty."

Betsy was the last major cane to ever hit the New Orleans area?
