Interesting research from Dr. Shepherd at UGA on "Tropical Cyclone Maintenece & Intensification" events such as Erin in Oklahoma over what they call the "brown ocean."

Brown Ocean? Sure sounds like something I'd rather not learn about, sounds disgusting. I don't want to envision what is in a Brown Ocean.
