00z hurricane suite

#1 Postby Vortex » Wed Sep 10, 2003 8:04 pm

and Gfdl all clustered together with a more wnw motion beginning in 24-36 hours and all of the hurricane models keep Isabell east of the Bahamas with an ever increasing threat to the carolinas. If this trend continues this is excellent news for the bahamas and Florida as both would be spared. It's only one run but they were right on with the westward turn...

sure scares me!

when storms find a way to that area near the Bahamas and off of the Southeast coast, they tend to really explode. recall floyd.

question: has there ever been a classified category 5 hurricane in this specified area?
