It is not looking good, at this point, for the EC. My local weatherman is now saying please get prepared! The look on his face says it all.....

The new forecast path as of the 5 am this morning looks like the she might be tracking away from south florida though.. I hope this stays that way!

That is really true & I would never let my guard down.. This is just the first time I have seen the forecast path getting further away from me and it gives me a hint of hope.. I have had a really bad feeling since the beginning with Isabel.. so I am grasping at anything! LOL!!

Good morning Charleston-Hugo-Veteran another day another waiting day as Isabel is moving not fast at all.And the models are changing with every run and now they are pointing more close to your neck of the woods than Florida but those in Florida dont relax at all and keep monitering it's track.

I'm not going to despair yet  if they are putting us as a potential target this far out, that probably means we WON'T be the target area. (Said while crossing all my fingers and hoping really, really, hard that Issy goes away)

With high pressure forecast to build into the southeast and West Atlantic starting on Monday it is any ones guess as to where Isabel may go. The 5:00AM forecast track shows it bending slightly to the nw, but if that high builds as strong as forecast, it may turn back to the west. Bottom line is everyone from Key West to Cape Hatteras needs to pay close attention.

5:00AM NHC Discussion:

NOTE: ALL MODELS RE-DEVELOP A RIDGE OVER THE WESTERN ATLANTIC JUST
OFF THE U.S. EAST COAST IN ABOUT 5 DAYS. THE STRENGTH AND LOCATION
OF THIS RIDGE WILL BE CRITICAL IN DETERMINING HOW CLOSE ISABEL WILL
GET TO THE UNITED STATES EAST COAST.

Thoughts and comments welcomed.

Very true TampaFL. And really, everyone along the east coast should be watching this closely.
