I feel like we're about to hit that lull

That frustrating "watch and wait" lull that hits the boards at about this time.

First, we start with all the "Wow, check this out!" and "This might be the big one. It's the peak of the season" and all the early calculations, speculations, and prognostications as we watch it develop. Next comes that much-needed "Okay, guys...get ready and be prepared. This isn't looking good." Then we get to all the "It's coming this way. I'm really worried" and "No, it's turning that way, we're in the clear, can't you see?" and back and forth about the models, which disagree as much as we do sometimes.

Then we get quiet...and wait and wait and watch and wait. Finally, we'll get to either the "Whew...glad that's over and we dodged a bullet" or the "Time to go, I'll check back in as soon as I can" and "Please be careful, our thoughts and prayers are with you."

Sorry...needed to vent.

I think we are still in the "Where exactly is this thing going?" time as we follow the bouncing model runs.

It is quieting down a bit. *smiles* Lot of people either believe they're safe- are tired of the rollercoaster of early prediction... or are just keeping quiet.

I only wish I knew where it was going....
