Here we go again with a wobble to the south

Note, that the Hurricane has been moving slightly south of due west as it did last night. These wobbles or more permanent wobbles are trending now more often then not. This basically washes out any movement to the north of west. I am still very skeptical of this forecasted turn. As fast as these models went from the Florida straits to the Northeast US, they can go back to Florida. We need to watch this Hurricane very carefully.

Right inbetween frames 4 and 6- Issy lets go of that band. The light blue outerband around the eye cuts under that mishapen chunk like a butter knife- removing it from the main storm. In the last frame- you can see it moving off as a band of rainstorms- but no longer connected to Issy.

Notice ALSO that AS that northern band of storms is being cut off- the main yellow of Issy rebounds to the south, elongating the storm southernly- NOT northernly. I'd say that EITHER:

A) A slight bobble to the south should be expected shortly
OR
B) The storm continues on it's westwardly course and the southern expansion is reabsorbed into the rest of the storm (Bulling that chunk of it northerly)- strengthening it.

But that's just my humble opinion

but remember for everytime it wobles south, it then wobbles north, eventually ending up on the same latitude line, thus the OVERALL motion is west, just as forecasted and does not suggest the NW turn will not happen

Oh, and yeah I agree- jsut a bobble *Laughs* I was so happy I guessed right that I forgot to mention. I still expect an overall due west.

Persistance is the key gentlemen. If we dont see persistance then it will just be a wobble which this is most likely.

would just like to add a note that if you don't have your homeowner's insurance up to date you best do it now, especially if you are remodeling/renovating. i don't know how it is on the east coast, but here on the panhandle of florida if there is a storm in the gulf they won't do squat.

Yeah fla_girl....if it's not up to date now, you better pray hard Isabel doesn't come your way. Here in Texas, it's a 30 day wait.

At least in Houston, the 30 day wait was well advertised when we had Allison blow through and people found out just how bad the flooding can really be.

Fortunetly I live on the second story of an apartment complex that survived the 83 'cane with no damage- so I only have the "stuff" insurance in case we have to evacuate and can't rent a uhaul

I don't think insurence goes into effect for 30 days in Louisiana either. Smart move considering most of us that need it live below sealevel.

zoeyann, i know here in the panhandle we can get insurance, modify it, etc as long as there is not a storm in the gulf. just thought some folks would be like i am, i.e. in the middle of remodeling/renovating so i just wanted to remind them.

on a side note what i found was odd. was when i lived in central florida and wanted to get renter's insurance. no problem as they've hadn't seen a decent cane in years. i move back home to fort walton beach. guess what after opal? lol
