About European direct hit Norfolk VA

#1 Postby John » Fri Sep 12, 2003 10:38 pm

Isabel has weakened slightly although the official forecast does not indicate that, it will tomorrow. This is not meant to lesson the severity of the Hurricane as IMO the weakening is not caused by cooler Water temps. I believe Isabel is starting to get disrupted a bit, somewhat of a squeeze play is underway. This is rather important since the dynamics here tonight resemble logs flowing in a river, the logs are starting to jam up and when that happens things get slow. It is not out of the question here tonight and I will toss this in the air as mention only, Isabel could slow even more or stall a bit in the next 24H, why is this important, because it would throw off the timing of her getting in position before the door to the slight weakness closes. The pot will begin to thicken, expect the unexpected. As far as the EURO goes, I gotta tell ya this run is never gonna verify and should be put right at curbside for Thursday mornings trash pick up.

So, should we also throw out the GFDL, GGEM, and GFS?

Not that I think the EC will verify at face value, but do you not suppose that these models are on to something?
