Area by Honduras

That area has my interest since the GFS has something forming in that area since June 1st. I'm sure nothing will come out of this but still interesting because it has potential.

Nice mid level vorticity that formed yesterday near the Nicaraguan coast but nothing at the surface forming, high shear environment and with no longer model support.

No development here with those screaming westerlies present all throughout the MDR regions (GoM, Caribbean, and Tropical Atlantic). :P

There is some activity associated with an upper level low south of the Isle of youth. Low shear at the center of the ULL but its pretty rare for activity to work to the surface.

Convection is the result of a tropical wave interacting with an upper-level low. Wind shear is expected to remain high and would expect convection to diminish once the tropical wave moves away from the upper-level low and inland into the Yucatan.
