9 pm Steve Lyons "suposedly said" his best guess

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I missed that, but he was mentioning something about how a hit north of the currently progged area would is more and more likely than a hit to the south.

I guess he knows something we dont

If steve says it, he must have a pretty good reason. Wonder what he is seeing that no one else is. All though the accuweather forecast for my area as hurricane on Friday with winds of 100mph. I am in the philly metro area.

The longer it stays stalled or slows...the more likely this is...and this has been my guess. I am sticking with my NC outer banks...chez bay though.

I saw his upper cone explanation. There's definately more real estate to the north of the projected path in the cone than to the south for Isabel to hit.

:D
When you look at the cone there is about a 50/50 split of hitting NC or bypassing. I agree that if she goes the northern portion of the cone there is a lot more land mass she could potentialy make landfall on.

I have also noticed, that on the News they tend to have indicated from the beginning even when there was not evidence to support it, that Izzy would move up into DC or NJ implying NY

Are they just trying to draw more viewers, because I see most of you guys here have been dead on the money for the conditions.

The National Hurricane Center has been telling the news networks that they aren't exactly sure where Isabel will make landfall... it is a difficult thing to do with tropical systems, especially one that this intense, but more so that has practically stalled, if it hasn't literally stalled.
