Looking at the latest infared floater loop Isabel still
looks like she is in a weakening mode and is sucking in
lots of dry air. The NHC may be forced to downgrade her
even further based on the next recon report. She does
not have the look of a major hurricane (no clear eye and deep
convection around the center). As matter of fact she doesn't have
much deep convection at all. I also notice that her movement is
more like a slow drift at 5 mph or less. Now we ALL know things
can change in the opposite direction with tropical systems so that's
the way I see her now. It doesn't mean that 12-24 hours from now she won't make a mini or more comeback.
