Watches and warnings...

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Tue Sep 16, 2003 11:39 am

are now out.. If any of you are in harms potential way.. Prepare now... If you feel the need to board up, do it. If you have to find a place for your pets.. do it...

If you need to make an emergency trip to the store.. do it.. Don't wait till right before Isabel strikes. She may suddenly accelerate while she's just meandering which would speed up times to get your final preps done.

If you feel the need to go to a shelter.. Go to 1 as soon as they open up. That way you can beat the traffic and the gridlock if your area hasn't been ordered to evacuate yet.

Isabel does continue to weaken but that doesn't mean she won't re-intensify or stay at 105 mph.

Don't get caught off guard..

I've got everything ready. Fran taught me and my family a huge lesson. We keep a water proof storage box filled with hurricane supplies, which actually come in handy during ice/snow storms (such as they are in NC), and just general summer thunderstorm power outages. I also urge everyone to get prepared now.
