It will push landfall up a bit I'm sure.. but at the same time, it might be a blessing in disguise because if she moves quick enough, she won't have enough time to regain strength because of her quick movement..
I don't like the fact that she's moving so slow.. It means she's possibly about to under go one last pulse of intensification at the very least.
At the same time, it does give coastal residents more time to prepare because of her slower movement..
Stay safe everyone...
If Isabel accelerates...

With the Gulf stream waters around 89ºf it is almost a given that there will be some reintensification. The other factors that may affect that will actually be the key here as to how much that happens. And speed across that warm water is definitely one of them. It will be interesting to see how much the different factors play into this since it is normal for intensification to occur over warmer waters with the right environmental conditions.

Already some signs of reorganization is taking place... Shear is forecast to lessen in 24 hours or less ... which gives Isabel about 36 hours before landfall ... although, the eyewall has pretty much collapsed for the time being... 89F waters and a more favorable environment may allow for Isabel to restrength once again.
