It sure looks that way to me. In all the satellite loops over the last six hours, it seems like no northward movement, but perhaps slightly west. But hey, I know nothing about hurricanes. Joe

10 seconds in each direction in 3 hours (is that right?)...

Advisory 42 at 11am N 27.4 W 71.2
Advisory 42A at 2pm N 27.5 W 71.3

i dont know what that equates to distance-wise at that location, but it doesnt sound like much.

With a storm that large, 6 miles is hardly worth noticing.........

Basically...she is wobbling around...in a gradual, but unhurried movement towards the WNW/NW, if thats what you want to call it.

Just heard on CNN at 3:30 est. that movement now is officially NNW. How does this relate to the anticapated landfall target? What concerns me is, because of the angle of attack, even the tinyest wobble to the N of Northwest will bring issy right up the chessy bay, and surprise alot of folks up to southern jersey who, because of the recent stress on the more westward official track and recent weakening would be more complacent than theyd want to be had they been warned more of this possibility.

After looking at the latest visible loop I now believe she is moving slowly NNW.

I think she's enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas.

Good point, paul. I think there would be quite a few people caught off guard if Isabel made landfall further north and east, and is able to strengthen some during the next day or so. A lot of people are expecting a weaker and more west-moving hurricane.
