I don't see how Isabel can ultimate move northward and make landfall along the North Carolina coast.
The high pressure over the eastern United States and the cold front pulling northward and away from the mid-Atlantic states really does not support a main northwad movement.
In addition, the next trough is quite a ways to the west.
