Is it getting stronger??

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I think she is starting to intensify, and will do so for at least the next 24 hours. Then again, I don't know very much so I could be completely wrong.

What makes you say that? Would like to learn, because from what little I know, I dont see that.

Looks like it to me too, though I'm hardly an expert.

Considering your location, be sure to stay safe & secure.

It has strengthened slightly Dude...IMO borderline cat 3 right now...based on 111 kts at flight level and a pressure of 958 mb.

Maybe it will track far enough SW and W of greater Norfolk to spare that heavily populated area the core. I expect 100+ mph wind gusts and a 8-12' storm surge in that area...but that's still much better than if it passes within 50 miles of ORF.

Yeah she is reintensifying some. Looks like an eye may be starting to reform on the latest frames on the visible loop. We could see a strong Cat 3 at landfall.

I agree with you Luke...I'm forecasting a 130 mph hurricane at landfall between Cape Lookout and Cape Hatteras...945 mb or so; but admit a 938 mb/ 135-140 mph cat-4 won't surprise me....not with Isabel's history of extreme intensity.
