Slight bend West throughout the day/watch close Wilmington

#1 Postby John » Wed Sep 17, 2003 10:38 am

Not much time today to post however I wanter to get this out before the day was over, there are some indications that the Ridge is going to really take over here shortly, what im saying is that Im expecting to see Isabel track NW rather than then the NNW heading. As I mentioned last evening any deviation left of the track would bring the core closer to the Wilmington, NC area, im not saying this is the case but indeed not out of the question either. Pay close attention today as I believe you will see more of a slight bend but a bend non the less throughout the day.

Good advice John.. as we wait for the storm to make landfall to our neighbors north of us...

Please stay safe if you decide to ride it out..

We can only hope. It's still got a ways to go before Raleigh, though. But, it only has to scare the administrators enough to canclel classes.

Pi- I can't picture going to school in the middle of a potential major hurricane.

A strong TS or a minimal Cat 1 maybe.. but not a potential major.. Your administration needs to get it's act together and cancel class..

At the very least, we'll be under Adverse Weather Policy (you won't be held accountable if you can't make it to class). I really think they will cancel classes, but they've got some time to make that decision.

I remember when I got "Hurricane days" back in high school... {went to hs from 97-98 to 00-01} and we even got 2 days off because of Floyd..

We only got 1 day off after our deadly tornado outbreak... :((

we didn't even think fran was gonna come through raleigh. I was expecting to go to school the next day, but when we all woke up the next day we thought otherwise. I think we missed two whole weeks of school in raleigh! Izzy is still pretty far away. I doubt they will cancel until tomorrow like they do with winter storms.

I was wondering if I was the only seeing a west wobble. I was thinking it was simply my eyes playing tricks on me.
