900 AM EDT THU SEP 18 2003

AT 900 AM EDT...1300Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE ISABEL WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 34.0 NORTH...LONGITUDE 75.3 WEST...OR ABOUT 85 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF CAPE HATTERAS NORTH CAROLINA. MAXIMUM WINDS
REMAIN NEAR 100 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS...OR NEAR THE CATEGORY
ONE/CATEGORY TWO THRESHOLD. MOVEMENT IS TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST
AT 16 MPH.

A SUSTAINED WIND OF 56 MPH...WITH A GUST OF 70 MPH...WAS RECENTLY
REPORTED AT ELIZABETH CITY NORTH CAROLINA
