The pier is destroyed!
EEEK was watching the weather channel and they just lost part of the Virginia beach pier..you know that big huge one he kept standing next to..there is wood all over the place... very nasty stuff.

From Hampton, VA and have to say this wil be one of the worst storms in a long time there and this is just a weak Cat 2 strong Cat 1. Area got lucky again but that luck is gonna run out and when that Cat 3 hits it's gonna be horrible damage up there if we're seeing 207,000 w/o power already when the hurricane force winds haven't reached the area yet.

At Virginia Beach, huge waves had destroyed a "small piece of the end" of the 400-foot-long 15th Street pier, the only oceanfront pier in the resort area, officials said.
To which I say:
It's all psychological, anyway. You yell 'Barracuda' and everyone says 'huh'. You yell 'Shark' and we've got a panic on our hands. I think we all agree we don't need a panic this close to the 4th of July.

A " small piece" of a 400 foot pier is still allot of damage and there were many big beams of wood and other pieces of wood floating around 
And notice I originally said 'a part' not the whole thing *giggles* forgive me if I gave the impression of blowing it out of proportion as to me it was quite a development.
