Track suggests it may be a fish, though the discussion says it could move more westerly if it remains in the lower latitudes.

It makes total sense that Tropical Depression 16 may not move out to sea. Looking at the end of the current forecast track, the curve may indeed by indicative of "the turn" -- will be interesting to see what the steering pattern is early next week.

Low latitude...

If Td 16/Kate stays at the low latitudes.. she could eventually become a coastal threat way down the line.. It's of course way too early to tell.. But we shall see just what she does...

We could have Juan and Kate by 11.. I'm kinda surprised how quickly Juan blew up...
