The Weather Channel's Alert Mode...

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sat Jun 05, 2004 7:45 pm

What do you think of the Weather Channel's ALERT MODE COVERAGE? Hurricane Lili had everything right for Alert Mode. Simply covering Hurricane Lili was not enough. It had to be ON HIGH ALERT to get viewers attention. Also, the PRESIDENT'S DAY STORM in 2003 was helped for Alert Mode. Then in 2003, they changed it to "STORM ALERT MODE" for hurricaen Isabel. What if a category 5 with 205 mph winds as big as 1999's hurricane Floyd is making a direct hit in NYC? TWC will go into CATASTROPHIC ALERT MODE.
