Dixie, I think the effect of the shear is now becoming more evident. Of course these islands are still going to get some rain (quite a bit, from the looks of it) out of this system but (IMHO) it has to make it past all that shear to its WNW before it has a prayer of developing into something more significant than a TW.

I agree, Abajan, though I think it might make it to TD or TS status. Still pretty early, but the season is definitely heating up.

Give it 5-7 days to reach the western Caribbean and maybe it'll have a shot.
