29.78 Pressure in Gulf with 30 MPh Winds!

I know there isn't an LLC there but fairly low pressure and for us West FLoridians looks like we may get some good winds along with all these storms today. BTW- I lost my link for conversion chart of millibars to pressure. Would someone please post that link?

I don't have a link, but what I do, is the with pressure in inches multiply it by 33.83 and you get your millibars. I don't know if this really the formula they use. It's sort something I figured on my own.

Thanks all. In lieu of nothing Tropical going on, I'll take the activity today. Lyons was just saying winds up to 40 mph in squalls today. Better than nothing I guess.

Yes it's better than nothing lol.. The sun came out here so maybe we'll get some severe weather since it's more unstable here with the sun out..

All of the bouy's aroud this system have been recording 17mph winds with the highest gust of 25mph. The lowest pressure i saw was 29.90 inches. It looks really disorganized and looks to be affected by shear, IMO its chances are kinda slim right now.

It's definitely not going to develop today, or tomorrow even. It's something to keep an eye on over the next week as it sits out over the warm GOM waters...typical June/July stalled front situation.

Those pressure and wind reading were from this morning. Not going happen today but who knows in next couple of days
