LMAO..

N/t stands for No text.. It's usually used for threads where the headline says it all and no additional text is needed

Of course, the correct way to do it is to put the "n/t" in the subject itself so that people don't click the topic unnecessarily.

No big deal though.

because putting "nt" in the actual message causes there to actually be text in it :)

Okay...now everybody knows what n/t means

So I guess the "poof" means you think the wave in the Caribbean has fizzled out :?:

Some boards allow you to just type the subject and leave the message part blank. Since this board doesn't allow that (I ran a test to find out), just type "n/t" in the message as well as the subject.

To people with slow dial-up connections (like me) it can be annoying to click on a subject and wait for a page to load, only to discover that there's no message. Most people just want to read a post without replying. N/t should only be omitted from the subject if there's no space for it.

The text for this board appears fairly quickly, but some of the Avatars have a pretty mean delay that causes the formatting to jump around. Guess in an emergency you could turn images off in your browser options. IE6 click tools/ internet options / advanced. Of course then you would miss all the pertinent graphics as well.
