If you run the visible loop you'll see a massive outflow boundary to the NW.

That's always a terrible sign for tropical devlopment.

No doubt..massive outflow..not a good sign for development anytime soon..midnight tomorrow is pushing it..

Agreed. This thing is not a TD ... yet. But new deep convection is firing near what you might call the "center" of the wave axis. And there is definitely potential over the next couple of days to see development.

I think what someone else posted earlier is appropriate -- this is very much like the storms of the past couple of years that came screaming into the E Carib., looked okay, but didn't really develop until they slowed down and got further W. We'll see.

I just read TWC analysis

I just read TWC analysis and they say that "unfavorable conditions" for development are due to climotology. I can live with that with one notable exception; Hurricane Claudette entered the same area as a wave last year and blossomed in the Central Carribean as convection fired near the center. I don't remember conditions being ideal then, either. Anyhow, at least we can watch it up close now with the floater moved.
