I grant you there is some dry air there, but nothing like behind the system and hardly any shear, except to the south of the system, off s. america which is typical. Don't think the real dry air (brown color is that much, and these out flow boundaries if they maintain them selves will moisten that area up even more. You don't have to have 100% humidity for a storm, but you can have a desert either.
