Warm water off East Coast

Take a look at the latest OTIS map:

Notice the warmer than normal waters off the East and NE coast of the US. Also notice the cool tongue still holding strong off of South America. While this is not the main Nino region, from what I understand, I would assume that this cool area cannot hurt- at the same time, the central Pacific is only slightly above normal. All this with a persistent negative SOI too. Wow.
