jb says if a storm doesnt recurve in the west pac that means an east coast ridge. the storm is very far north already, but is forecast to turn west south of japan.

The southern island chain may not be so lucky though. The projection is for heights to rise back east later this week. But it will take all week to do that and it's only a gradual state. At least there will be some sense of normalcy after the cloudy wet days coming in tomorrow through wednesday. Perhaps later this week, a more normal pattern in the northeastern and mid atlantic states.
