Nice pic of a real Cyclone on the planet now. 8-) You might wanna maximize and scroll..it blows up to 1km on the left..so bring on the bandwidth..

intresting track.....typhoons don't normally travel E to W towards Mainland Japan.

Then again... Japan should be fairly used to strong hurricanes. I haven't been paying too close attention to the typhoon season over there, but I know this is at least their 2nd or 3rd hurricane in the past few months.

Also - Does anyone know the 'official' season span for the W. Pacific?

April to December, but Typhoons can form in any month, which is more common than any other basin.
