John Hope was one of the best there will ever be in the tropical forecasting realm. I miss him and his no nonsense reporting of the tropics immensely. I too always head for TWC at 50 past the hour to be sure I caught what he had to say no matter how active things were.

I am fortunate to have met and briefly talked to Dr. neil Frank at last years Hurricane conference here in Houston. Even have a pic of our group with him somewhere. He is a local OCM here in Houston now and he is the one I turn to whenever there is anything in the tropics, because like Dr. Hope he ALWAYS tells it like it is.

RIP JOHN HOPE
