Floater 2 now over 93L
over 93L Invest in the Caribbean. Should be done shortly. Tell you what, though, that blob of the Atlantic coast looks a bit suspicious, too!

Wow this system is now a strong TD maybe a minimal tropical storm from only the look of it and surface observations support that but apart from that it has to get away from the SA coast and slow down to then have a great chance to develop. Thanks dixie once again.

The system looks impressive on satellite imagery, but HEY, it cannot be called a tropical storm unless it has a surface circulation.
This was the same case with Claudette last year. EVERYONE was saying that it was a tropical storm, but the fact was that it didn't have a closed circulation. The system CANNOT strengthen much more than what it is now until it has a LLC. You will NEVER see a tropical wave strengthen so much to look like a HURRICANE, but isn't due to lack of LLC. It's not going to happen. I wouldn't expect rapid development until it closes off a center which could be soon, but the rapid forward motion makes me believe it might wait a little bit longer.
