Let's say god for bid.. Charlie makes major hurricane status..
One of our local mets here in ORL had said this morning that we should be prepared because there's a good chance we will have hurricane force winds.. especially since we're on the storms' right side..
If the storm reaches major status.. Could I see 95-100 mph winds here inland.. even though I may not be anywhere near the storm's eye since the eye may not pass over me..
Just out of curiosity.. a question/comment

I am in Volusia County, and after looking at the some of the models, I am assuming I could get strong tropical storm winds ( even possible low Cat1). .... despite the fact the Volusia County Emergency Management is only on "partial alert"... I'm not -removed-, just assuming the worst case scenario until proven wrong. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised Saturday morning when I can move my lawn furniture and plants out of the garage and mow my lawn.

Navy provides a nice map of the NHC's forecast. Shows where hurricane force and tropical storm force winds are forecasted.

Of course the map is only as good as the NHC's forecast
