One thing I would like everyone in the hurricane area to remember is your cars and trucks. If they aren't in a garage you need to get them off of the street. Just a reminder that cars and trucks can be ruined by floods and severely damaged by flying debris. Once the storm begins--it's too late. If you can take your car and park it in any high-rise parking garage Downtown or in an office building or hospital parking lot that is high-rise in your neighborhood than put it there and leave it there for the duration of the storm. I usually bring my automobiles and park them in one of the high-rise office buildings parking lot Downtown and take a taxi home. If you are able to do this, I can promise you one thing for sure--a car in perfect condition and no damage whatsoever after the storm is over. Your neighbors will wish they had done what you did!! :D

The I have no transportation. I have m rare car in garage and my replacable one just outside it.

And leave all the windows cracked a little - the pressure difference has blown many a window out in the storms we've had here...
