Supressing speech and opinions is un-constitutional. Deleting posts because someone does not like the language being displayed is tantamount to "BIG BROTHER", and I don't think you want to be accused of being big brother. It's time to grow up people and if words hurt you "GROW UP." They are only words of someone's opinion. words like this posted recently should not affect anyone. They are only words. If you are going to continue deleting offensive posts, then you might as well delete this forum because arbitrarily deleting what you want and allowing others because they have been here awhile is BS, and you know. LINDALOO, what I posted was not offensive and I believe the reason why you deleted was to protect, which is bogus. Let the posts post and delete the foul language only....

Try telling the people of Punta Gorda that there community wasn't "wiped away"... Geez, nice compassion for them. I guess Punta Gorda isn't a "community" in your eyes.

What an idiotic statement to make when describing what will become the United States' SECOND COSTLIEST NATURAL DISASTER of ALL TIME. $15 billion not historic enough for ya?? Charley is certainly historic, and will unfortunately be remembered
forever by the people of SW FL.

Sorry for my angry post, but just because it was Punta Gorda that was hit and not Miami doesn't make the people's lives that live there any less important..."

As an Administrator and owner of this board I can tell you that the Moderators are doing exactly what Chad and I have asked them to. If you don't like it then select someplace else to post. This is NOT a free speech issue, This is a private board and you all agreed to the terms of participation. Either accept them or leave, your choice.

The board owners have full legal and moral rights to do whatever they wish on their board in terms of censorship. Only the government is consitutionally told not to censor, and they can in deliminated areas.

Ah contrare, monfrare, it's private if you have to pay for it. this is public and you made it so. All I am saying is let people posts their opinions without fear of their posts being deleted, which is ridiculous. I enjoy reading peoples posts and calling somone's bluff. Now If somoene posts offensive language, then I agree in deleint posts. But not for stupid words that are worthless, and of someon's elses opinions.

The mods here have the right to delete/edit posts. It it is not a "public forum" in the sense that free speech rights do not apply here. We are under the moderators rules so that there is organized discussion. Free speech would mean there were no moderators and the boards would be full of annoying trolls.

Its private because the board owners have to pay for it. Something you clearly do not understand. Right now by using their bandwidth to complain you are costing them money.

I beg to differ. All posts are subject to the rules of the board. Chad and I are the final word on all posts. You will lose all arguements on this issue I can assure you. There is just no need for attack posts of any sort and we will not tolerate it.

alcfamlaw, we make every attempt to police the board. We can not read every post. If you feel a post is out of line then report it to a member of the staff. We deal with every issue on a personal and private basis.

Alxfamlaw, you have been nothing but contrrary to almost everyone on this site and especially the moderators since you have started here. This is a privately owned site and we do run it as we see fit under the direction of our Administrators. As Marshall said, if you do not like the family atmosphere and the way this board is run then move on. If you care to stay here, then please start contributing in a POSITIVE WAY as hundreds of others have seemed to be able to do. You claim to be so smart-which part of what you have been told both by admin and moderators do you not understand?
You did agree to bide by the rules of this site when you registered and they are clearly stated. I suggest you start doing so!!

You need a serious lesson in constitutional law. This is a private community, whether you pay for it or not. It is a community that is paid for by private citizens and they have sole ownership on it. You were given an account by them and they have complete control over anything you so desire to place on this community.

Free speech does not apply here as only the government isn't allowed to surpress free speech. The government doesn't own and has no say in what goes on here. Furthermore, you are only able to post here because the administrators of this site haven't pulled the plug on you. You should feel lucky as I would have already terminated your account on ACCBoards or packPride.com because of the lack of inteligence and gratitude you show here.

VB, I hardly posted anything on this site. I like reading some of the posts here, that is why I singed up for this site. It gives a lot of input. I have noticed a lot of offensive posts that where not deleted that even the moderators get in on. So, don't tell me I have been on the contrary. All I am just saying is let the posts be, that's all. End of story and I do understand the rules.

The posts will not "let be". I have explained the boards policy for reporting offensive posts. End of discussion....

I am here to moderate.. I will do so according to the rules that Marshall and Chad have set up and which were agreed upon by the other mods. If a rule is broken the offending poster and post will be delt with. No matter if you have been here once or one million times!!
If no one likes the way things are done, and would prefer a board that is not moderated and kept to rules, then they should go elsewhere. The internet is a big big place!!
