Looking more and more impressive by the minute, now we see that not only the cloud tops are colder but they are wrapping around the center which indicates that the system is intensifying. I think at 11 PM it will be a 85 - 90 mph hurricane.

I say maybe 90-95 mph a strong Cat. 1

How big a hurricane is this compared to others? A historical comparison would be helpful.

Sorry. Another question about something you wrote. I assume when you mention the height of the cloud tops you are referring to the color on the IR satelite image? What color means what?
